The Service allows you to input, store, and analyze job offer compensation data, including employer names and personal rankings (e.g., Compensation, Quality of Life, Enjoyment at Work, Prestige). You retain ownership of the information you submit. We process it only to provide, maintain, and improve the Service. You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, scrape without authorization, or infringe upon others’ rights.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Certain features may require a paid subscription.
• Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). We do not store credit card numbers.
• Refunds, if offered, are governed by our posted refund policy.

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You own the data you provide. By submitting it, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service.

Our Content: All software, designs, logos, and trademarks of Compin.AI are owned by us or our licensors and protected under intellectual property laws. You may not use them without prior written consent.

6. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, OR SUITABILITY FOR YOUR SPECIFIC PURPOSE (INCLUDING EMPLOYMENT NEGOTIATIONS).

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPIN.AI AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time via account settings. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive.

9. Governing Law

For U.S. users, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, excluding conflicts of law rules. For EU/EEA users, mandatory local consumer protections also apply.
